Workshops/presentations
What types of presentations do you offer?
Our creative therapists have been presenters across Virginia for many organizations to include the Brain Injury Association of Virginia, Virginia Law Institute, Greater Richmond Performing Arts Association, VCU Health, Massey Cancer Center, the Virginia Department of Education, Virginia Commonwealth University, and many more to include local school systems, women’s groups and small businesses. We enjoy designing interactive workshops to engage your audience into the therapeutic power of creative arts. Workshops can be multi-modal or be specific to music, art, play or movement.
Topics may include, but are not limited to:
- managing stress through creative expression
- music and mindfulness
- altered book making for burnout prevention
- the use of art for clients in crisis
- arts based calming strategies
- why use creative arts therapy for your clients
- utilizing creative arts techniques to improve mood
Through our grant funded services via the Commonwealth Neurotrauma Initiative, we are able to provide free workshops about the use of music therapy and/or art therapy to improve symptoms caused by traumatic brain injury or spinal cord injury. Learn more about these free services here.
