Miranda is a board-certified music therapist and resident in counseling. She earned her Master’s in Music Therapy and Counseling from Drexel University and her Bachelor’s in Music from Ithaca College, where she studied trombone performance, psychology, and Deaf studies.

Miranda takes a humanistic, strengths-based approach, incorporating elements of evidence-based talk therapy, mindfulness techniques, positive psychology, and creative therapies like art, music, and movement to help clients build coping skills and reach their goals. She works with clients of all ages and especially enjoys working with teens. She has extensive experience supporting adults and older adults living with disabilities, chronic illness, sensory loss, depression, and anxiety. She also specializes in working with individuals recovering from traumatic brain injuries and strokes. Miranda welcomes LGBTQIA+ clients and individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.

In therapy, Miranda blends verbal counseling with music-based techniques, tailoring each session to her client’s needs.
